The main reason we took up OpenText LiquidOffice was because we had acquired several OpenText solutions and had established a good relationship with the brand. But over the years, LiquidOffice as a form-builder solution has lived up to Opentext's consistency despite the competition. LiquidOffice has been an integral tool for data collection through e-forms from our audiences. LiquidOffice is essential in helping me deliver a rich digital customer experience from collected insights.
  • The WYSIWYG form builder has highly configurable web forms
  • It processes even third-party external web forms
  • It integrates well with OpenText Core to improve customer interactions.
  • You have less routing control while processing third party external web forms unless it's an OpenText solution
OpenText LiquidOffice would be most suitable if you engage or already use the large array of OpenText information management solutions; as integrations would be swift. From my experience LiquidOffice has been a successful investment to provide secure eForms from authenticated users. The PDF standalone forms are flexible enough to be opened on any browser or PDF viewer. It is a superb solution to collect and validate information from your audiences.

  • We collect authenticated data from our users and audiences to improve our services.
  • The surveys give us a better understanding of our markets.
It's easy to use from both ends; form creator and the one filling the surveys. It's easy to view the forms from all browsers with ease. It's also simple to use due to the drag and drop process modelling to configure forms in minutes with smooth scripting and integration capabilities.
The support from Opentext is commendable. I got valuable assistance from their agent while seeking to understand leveraging the complex WYSIWYG form builder.

OpenText LiquidOffice is slowly but steadily being used in multiple processes. The business problems that this addresses is the smooth process automation and optimization of the data flow within departments for invoice processing, project intakes etc. Current scope is for invoicing, POs, and other vendor related activities and this improves interaction and efficiency
  • Form processes & routing - Makes it very easy at an enterprise level
  • Integration with 3rd party & external forms
  • Automation of forms with less coding making it useful for quick turnarounds
  • Need more training and support items for the ever increasing features that it has
  • Tech support - Difficult to initialize
Most suited - Data gathering with a lot of business rules. It make it very easy and its integration feature lets you gather data from multiple enterprise level softwares even for a non-tech folk One negative - Threshold to implement and start this software is a little high with almost no tech support available.

  • Positive - Quick turnaround with vendor interactions regd PO, Invoices etc
  • Positive - Quick and easy BPM processes for silo departments and data gathering
  • Positive - In-built Survey analytics reduces a lot of time to export data into excel to analyze
Against GoogleForms - Just its security and data privacy/restriction & access support is very good compared to GoogleForms. Hence the OpenText LiquidOffice

Against Typeform - Ease of use and turnaround time for complex business rule based forms
Multiple reasons for its usability rating and the foremost is its ease of use and TAT for non-tech folks. There are a lot of competitive softwares to OpenText but most of them are very technical as compared. The use of OpenText LiquidOffice is very user friendly and almost automated even if you want to build complex survey forms with multiple decisions and business rules. Two points deduced because it could improve its support capabilities
Not very good especially with its ever increasing feature set. It becomes a little clunky in the beginning. Although most of the features are easy to use, a basic tech support or training module could do wonders for the software

Great form builder

OpenText LiquidOffice is a very verstile e-form and workflow tool, which in theory plugs into most things thanks to the fact it wasn't built with any particular setup \ infra \ CMS in mind. OpenText LiquidOffice stood out during the product selection process because of this, as it was deemed the potentially easiest implementation across our vast online platform estate.
  • Adapting to varied environments
  • Javascript support
  • Easy to use form designer
  • Very old UI
  • Feels like an archaic system
  • Reporting isn't great
Implementation is certain OpenText LiquidOffice's strong area. It's relatively easy to get it working in pretty much any CMS and there's considerable amount of online help if needed. It also has a very easy to understand form designer and the workflow designer is also very easy to understand and pick up.

  • Pretty high form interaction rate
  • Hard to determine where a users is dropping off
  • Proved too limited in context of event submissions
OpenText LiquidOffice's has a very simple to understand and relatively powerful form builder. The workflow designer is also very easy to pick up and requires users to have minimal training. OpenText Liquid Office does look a lot older than other products in its class though and I feel would benefit from a more fresh and modern design.
OpenText LiquidOffice's is very easy to pick up and is also very easy to learn, requiring very little input from our internal IT support team. Most users pick it up very quickly and rarely ask questions on how to use it, which i feel is testament to pretty good usability.
Support from OpenText is pretty good. It has an substantial knowledge base available online, as well as online support portal via OpenText Connect. Response on tickets has been moderate to good , though it's appreciated that there's been a lot of internal change to deal with too. The support engineers do seem trained in the tools.
